The main objective of the IPAI is to provide professional training for candidates of Patent Agent and Patent Attorneys and to assist candidates in obtaining qualifications necessary to practice as a Patent Agent under the Patent Act and Rules.
The emerging situation in the International scene after the ratification of the agreement for the establishment of World Trade Organization (WTO) including the agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), to which India is also a signatory country The profession of practicing as patent attorneys offers increasing opportunities in India and all the countries, who are signatories to the above-said agreement.
The Institute of Patent Attorneys India was founded in 2005 by Mr.K Radhakrishnan Nair; a leading Patent Attorney, It serves as a center of excellence in teaching, training, and research in Patent Laws and Practice.
